January Return to Play

 

The IHSA and IDPH have reversed the “pause” on sports and extra-curricular activities. We must continue to be safe and follow the protocols in place for our return to play. All participants will be screened upon entry. Please contact your coach with any specific questions.

 

Winter Sports

Competitive Cheer- Low Risk Practice starting 1/20

Competitive Dance- Low Risk Practice starting 1/22

Girls Bowling- Low Risk Practice starting 1/25 4pm Forrest Hills Lanes

Boys Bowling- Low Risk Practice starting 1/26 7pm Forrest Hills Lanes

Boys Swimming & Diving – Low Risk Practice starting 1/18

Boys Basketball- High Risk-  Practice starting 1/21.

Girls Basketball- High Risk-  Practice starting 1/25.

 

Open Weight Room – Starting 1/18 4pm-5pm. Limit of 50

 

Low risk sports will be allowed to practice within the guidelines of the IDPH and the Governor’s All Sports Policy. (Practice, Scrimmage, Intra-Conference play, In Person/ Virtual Tournaments)

Medium Risk sports will be allowed to practice within the guidelines of the IDPH and the Governor’s All Sports Policy. (Practice, Scrimmage, Intra-Conference play)

High Risk sports will be allowed to practice within the guidelines of the IDPH and the Governor’s All Sports Policy. (Practice, Scrimmage only)

 

The IHSA has allowed contact days for all sports starting January 25th.

  • Winter Sports will be given priority to facilities and logistics.
  • A plan is being finalized for Spring and Summer season sports.

 

The IHSA will meet on January 27th and will provide more guidance. The Athletic Department will work with High School and District Administration to formulate return to play guidance for the Harlem School District.  Please contact the Head Coach for specific details. Participants must have a current physical on file and be registered through 8to18.
